Fourth of July in Naples
Today's weather in Naples, Florida is Partly sunny with Thunderstorms
High 90
Low 71
4th of July Parade and fireworks.
Parade 10 AM
Fireworks 9 PM
This year will be the first time that we go and see the parade on 5th Ave. From what I hear it is a pretty good time, I really do not think that I have ever attended a parade where I didn't have a good time. I'll let you know next week how everything turned out. Maybe we can dine at one of restaurants on the bay while we are there.
Later Friday afternoon we will venture down to the Naples Pier to catch the forth of July fireworks show. We are told there is over 1000 shells of fireworks that will eliminate the skies that night costing the city more than $30,000. The City is telling us that they are prepared for nearly 20-30K patrons to be at the event. We have been to the fireworks show and I must say that it is close to one of the biggest "City" shows that I have ever seen. The fireworks reflecting off of the Gulf of Mexico and lighting up the Naples Pier. What a beautiful time.

1200 5th Ave South, Naples, FL 34102 • 239/263.2734
Last night we decided to check out "The Riverwalk Fish & Ale House" located within Tin City. As soon as you walk into this restaurant you will feel like you are at an "authentic old style" waterfront restaurant. With the outside waterfront dining tables to the fisherman's wharf style decor. The food was as fresh as it could be I had the Fried Grouper Sandwich and my wife ate a hearty portion of bay scallops. You cannot go wrong with this place great food and an exciting atmosphere to surround you.

Naples Zoo in Naples Florida
Today's Weather in Naples, FL • Partly Sunny
High 87
Low 75
Naples Zoo
9:30-5pm • 1590 Goodlette-Frank Road
Ticket Prices:
Adults ages 13 through 64 $18.75
Seniors ages 65 and up $17.75
Children ages 3 through 12 $10.50
Children ages 2 and under Free
The Naples Zoo is a must stop while vacationing in Naples, Florida. There are many exhibits to see and shows to watch throughout the day. The many different sections of the zoo really keeps the crowds coming, like the African Oasis with it's jumping Impalas and gazelles and its rutting River hogs. It really makes you feel like you are on a real safari. At mid-day the gator feeding at Alligator Bay is where you want to be. You can see enormous gators fight over their lunches, jumping out of the water to snag a piece of chicken.
Throughout the day you can do just about anything you would like. There is a very exciting Primate Cruise (my favorite) that you float around and see all the monkeys, apes and of course the lemurs. (I cannot get enough of them) It is about a 20 minute ride so it is perfect when you need to cool off and take a break. It seems as if the primates think we are the shows and they are there to watch us!
I'm sure you will love it here at the zoo and I'm sure you would love the lemurs as well.

First off let me just say that today was the beautiful summer day which lead into a perfect Naples night. We found ourselves at the world famous "Tin City" tonight eating blue crabs at Pinchers Crab Shack. If you LOVE crab this is the place for you, they serve any kind of crab that you could ever want, blue crab, Dungeness crab, king crab and of course snow crab. This has to be home to some of the freshest seafood in all of Naples. As one of locals favorite restaurants Pinchers offer more then just crab they have fresh Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Salmon, Tuna, and Shrimp and everyone is cooked to perfection, not to mention the non-stingy sized portions.
Enjoy your favorite cocktail and take in all the enchanting nautical views of the Naples Bay.

Dining on the Bay - Naples, Florida
Here is a look at the newly Opened Scenes on the Bay.Located at • 489 Bayfront Place • Naples, Florida 34102
Scenes on the Bay, just had it's grand opening this past weekend. The relaxing feel of this upscale restaurant with its multiple tv's, live entertainment and views of the Naples Bay makes you not want to leave this place. We only stopped in for a few drinks so we didn't get the chance to sample the food but from what I could see and smell I know it had to be good. I did read over the menu and was surprised on how diversified it was. With Asian, Caribbean, Italian and American food there is sure to be something here for the pickiest eaters. And with one of the most impressive beer and wine list in all of Naples how could you not stop in for a drink or two.
Here is a shot from our table we sat at over looking Naples Bay.

This is our first blog for our new company. We are creating a new website devoted to all of Naples, Florida water front dining. We have a few more days left on production of the site but we are anticipating that it will be up by this weekend.
About our Blog:
We plan on sending a blog out everyday about the Naples lifestyle, and things that are going on in and around our area. If you have any questions about Southwest Florida please ask, if I do not know the answer I will do my best to find it out for you.
Thanks,
